#TVO Member J.Watson onboard CVN

Our feature member for this month is Jenni Watson. She is from Xenia, Ohio and joined the US Navy right out of high school. She had the opportunity to play volleyball for Ohio State but made the decision to serve her country. Her occupation was an Aviation Machinist Mate for the E-2C and C-2 aircraft in Norfolk, Virginia for four years. The Navy trained her to be an engine mechanic and work on the propeller systems. While serving her country she ran into a tall slim fellow with a neat little accent from Cleburne, TX. She fell in love, and got married to him in 2008. Unfortunately she was immediately deployed to the Middle East for eight months aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. During the deployment she participated in the War Campaign "Operation Enduring Freedom". A few months after returning to Norfolk, her enlistment ended where she was honorably discharged from the US Navy. As a strong and supporting wife, she stood by her husband and his decision to move the family to Pensacola, FL for his career. During this time Jenni was able to earn her Associates Degree from Pensacola State College in Liberal Arts. With her first degree completed, the Watson family decided to add an addition to their duo. Just three months after she gave birth to their perfect baby girl, Briley Rae, they knew it was time to move to her husband's hometown in Cleburne. Jenni is attending Texas Wesleyan University. Texas Veterans Outdoors is looking at planning her graduation party in May of 2018 to celebrate her Bachelor's degree in Sociology.

Congratulations Jenni to you and your family! Thank you tremendously for your service and dedication!
